Hiatus
? Why does blogger make me republish when I really don't want to? Why does blogger hate human life? The world may never know.
Anyway, I normally don't post things that I draw for friends on Warriors Wish but in the interest of posting a sketch everyday... there you go. It's wolves. Poorly drawn wolves at that. Enjoy!
I'm headed off to the beach with some friends for several days so I won't be able to post. I will definitely do my daily pages but will have to scan and post them next weekend.

Sketch Page 36- Sexy Ladies
Just one page for today. I could do more but I'm in one of my flippant moods today. This mood always gets me in trouble so I bettter lock myself away from humanity for a bit. It's just so hard to draw today!
Anyway, I had to go do GOVERNMENT THINGS today (ohhhh) so I grabbed a random magazine and drew from it. Lo and behold it was Victoria's Secret. Got me some S3XII L4DIE TYME.
...that hurt to type

Sketch Pages 34 and 35- random critters
Well, today Jillian, Aurora, Ben, and I had a wee little get together at the Roxy to discuss our respective personal stories and just-hang-bro. I had a lot of fun :3 Rather than doing life studies, I just drew random critters and doodles.
^The top guy is just a fish with a cane. Ben said he looks like a Pokemon :(
The bird is Skriks, an original character of mine.
And this
is
...
CATDUCKCRABICORN EATING THE KING OF THE FISH
OHHHHHHHHH MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN
Storywise, today was quite eventful for me. I've had this epic tale flitting around in my head for about 10 years now and I just couldn't figure out how to get it off the ground. First, I began it when I was 11 years old so the story and characters were very mary sue cliche derp. Second, I have so many characters! The entire story needs a revamp so I just avoided it.
However meeting with friends forced me to focus on the universe in my head. I really don't want to let it go. That being said, I am gonna work on understanding the universe better and perhaps break the story up into many short stories. That way I can illustrate as I go and the task of writing it down will not seem quite so daunting. woop woop

Sketch Pages 32 and 33- Silhouette
THIS IS RELEVANT TO MY INTERESTS
I went to the docks today to breathe out some stress. It helped a little bit. Here are some silhouettes of the Portland skyline. I'm happy with how the overpass turned out. I tried drawing it before and it failed epically.
Oh, catduckcrabicorn, I know how you feel. These were drawn looking out the bus window.

Sketch Page 31- Creamer pitcher
After church my family and I went out to dinner. Here, have some creamer pitcher sketches!
People keep saying "you must be bored" when I draw little things like this and the stapler. I'd like to tell them that I draw little things because I find the way they are put together fascinating, but usually I just reply, "yup." It's easier than watching their eyes glaze over.

Sketch Page 25- critter
Just a quick photoshop sketch of a critter. I watched a really good video earlier this morning about construction lines and clean lines. Then I spent a couple hours looking through creaturespot.com A-maaazing!
I will definitely finish this guy later. I want to paint him and complete his mini story. Also will change his face, neck, and thigh to match his body style.
Edit:: I just realized that his forelegs do not match. I'll fix that too.

Sketch Page 23
"A sketchbook is where you try to connect your heart with your hand."
My interpretation of that idea is that an artist should draw, learn, enjoy. Open up new ideas and always explore. A sketchbook is not a place for worry.
This may seem like a trivial, "no-duh" moment, however I have really been down in the dumps lately art-wise. There is so much stress to be better. GrowgrowGROW. Especially as a student that is majoring in a highly competitive field. So much stress that I have started to forget that I loved drawing. I would draw every single day during high school and now it's a struggle just to look at my sketchbook.
Well, now I need to get past that. Sure I need to get better but I can also have fun. A sketchbook is yours and yours alone; don't let it frighten you, it is your bff.
Unfortunately, when I open my heart to my sketchbook THAT comes out ^ haha
