I know I missed yesterday :[ Hopefully these will make up for my failure.
Here are some ref sketches from Panzer Dragoon Orta. That game is my biggest inspiration. It made me fall in love with creature and level design. If you haven't taken a look at that game I highly recommend it.
Bad layout sez HI
Horses from picture reference.

Sketch Page 52
I added a blog title. There is a good chance that I will hate it later but for now it will live. /strokesmustache
Max doodles. Some guys on the Max complemented my dragon, haha. I kind of don't like it though, but it's nice to hear a compliment every once in awhile. I rather like the robot thing on the bottom.

Sketch Pages 48-50!!!
Page 50! It's about time. I didn't want to draw today but I powered through!
To celebrate I drew some "master sketches" of Terryl Whitlach's creatures and then did some color experimentation with colored pencils.
Honestly, his expression was just like that. I like that guy.
If I were an honest person, I'd tell you that this was actually the first page I drew... Have you ever had one of those days where it's REALLY hard to get into drawing and whatever you create looks like poop? Well here is the poop page.

Sketch Page 43- Star warrrrs
Just to make sure this gets out there right away: The images in this post are not mine, I am not selling them; they are simply "master studies".
Now that that is out of the way... A couple days ago I got this bad ass book, "The Wildlife of Star Wars: A Field Guide. It has sweet creature drawings illustrated by Terryl Whitlatch. I LOVE her creature designs, they are believable but they also FEEL like they are alive. Her creatures have beautiful expressive lines.
So I couldn't resist sitting down and doing some master copies. <3
My goal was to figure out inner form and line quality and to play with color a little bit.
No seriously, I love this woman lulz. Her, Alan Lee, and Kekai Kotaki are my freaking idols right now. LOOOOOOVE

Sketch Pages 40, 41, and 42
Back from the beach! It was sooooo relaxing. Probably one of the best weeks of my life. Alas, it's back to school, headaches, and responsimability.
I drew on vacation... just not as much as I should have.
Here are some bored, poorly drawn location drawings :D ANd it's best not to ask about the illustration on the bottom of the page...
And these are designs based off the thumbnails lower on the page. I like them! Especially Steve (the bottom critter). I would like to make their environments better and then render them completely in photoshop for my portfolio. yay
