Here is just a random env from reference. I am trying to focus on getting the big important color shapes rather than details right now so I set a strict time limit for myself.

But hey! Here is a WIP of a PS painting I'm working on. My understanding of grayscale is pretty lame so I thought it would be a good idea to layer in shading first and then overlay some color on that biatch.

Photoshop Sketch 6- Rockawaaay I miss you

I wanna go to the beeeeeach. Stupid winter with it's cold and wet and no snow because-I-live-in-a-valley-so-what-is-the-point-of-being-so-damn-cold. Okay that was a fun gripe.

Here is a b&w photo study of Rockaway beach. I really need to figure out the whole light against dark relationship.

I found some sweet Concept art assignments online so I'm trying them out.

Above is my first assignment. I had to draw something from life (my shoe) and then modify the object.

I think I missed the mark with this project.

The point was to MODIFY the object, whereas I changed the object completely.

Oh well.

I rather like the dude on the middle right, even if he doesn't make sense.

My half-assed attempt at following a tutorial to color my shoe-car.

It's ugly. Some things are good, like the front of the car and the seat, however the rest is poo.

Another painting :D This was does not make me want to break all of my pencils. In fact I rather like it *spews Juicy Juice in shock*.

I'm trying to paint with a "what-would-this-look-like-in-my-portfolio" mindset. It helps, I think.

So! I really need to start practicing photoshop considering it's what I want to do and I graduate soon :[ That being said, I'mma try to do at least 4 paintings a week.
