I didn't like how this was turning out, so it was abandoned. OH WELL. I call it "Ewlligator"... even though it is a crocodile.

Dream catcher staff color 2
Okay I think I'm at a point where I can begin some finalized artwork. I may make some alterations to color/design along the way. I was also thinking of dropping the secondary dream catcher staff entirely (bottom row design). The design looked okay in the rough sketch but I think it lost some of it's charm, going to color. Not sure yet, though.
Please let me know if there is a particular color scheme you enjoy for either design or if you think that there is something I can do to make it better
thanks!

Sketch Pages 787-794
Here are the sketch pages for the month of June, so far. This month's page count is already almost double last months, haha.
I went to the zoo a couple of weekends ago and drew some animals from life.

Sketch Pages 782-786
Wow I have not posted sketch pages for quite a while! The earliest page that I didn't post was from clear back on May 15th.
You know what's terrible? These are all of my sketchbook pages from May. Granted, I work at a place where I draw all day but that isn't personal work/studies. This month I am going to try to quadruple my monthly page count- which won't be difficult considering last month's page count.

Dreamcatcher Staff- rough sketches
Final rough sketches for the Dream catcher Staff. Next step is to pick 2 or 3 that I like and make color studies! My final goal is to render one staff completely. Bonus goal is to put it in a scene, with a fully painted background, and imply a story behind the staff.
Please let me know in the comments which staves you like!

Klymene, the Forest Spirit - quick paint
I noticed something while at work - I am molasses slow when it comes to churning out concepts. Ridiculously slow. STUPID SLOW, EVEN.
So I'm going to try to focus on conveying ideas fast. The focus isn't on a finished work (although I may go back and rework some of these pieces) the goal is to make the idea readable, quickly. Today's quick paint was on a 30 minute timer. As much as I wanted to keep painting on it, I forced myself to quit. I really like how this turned out. I'd like to visit it later but for now I will leave it alone.
