Sketch Page 486

Just postin' to let you know I am alive :D

This may be my last post for awhile.  I still don't have my computer fixed.  I am still drawing though!
For the winter season, here is Klymene in her winter coat.  I cleaned up the linework and later I will color it.

Man, when I have access to a scanner again I will be posting so many pages.

Sketch Pages 470-476

Progress on one of the Guidance Dog illustrations.  This time I used colored pencils.
 horrible people sketches...
I am still working on updating Klymene's design.  I drew some thumbnails above to figure out her pose for the final illustration.  Below is her "winter" coat (her design changes for each season).  I added in her bell and tail charm at the last second so that is why it is in blue pencil.

Sketchbook Cover 6? 7? who knows?

Enjoy a copy pasta from my dA page, yum yum:

I really enjoy making covers for my new sketchbooks. I may have a new addiction. It is really difficult to not buy new sketchbooks like crazy just so I can make designs for them.

I try to make them according to my "theme" for the month. This month I have been drawing horse skulls like crazy.

The sketchbook was red, originally. I painted it with black gouache and a dry brush so that some of the red crackles would show through (I hope you can see the red a little bit). Then, I created the horse skulls with pen and sharpie and cut them out on another gouache colored sheet of Bristol board, then glued them onto the sketchbook with rubber cement (it holds onto hardcover sketchbooks very nicely).

For the jaw and half-skull design, I cut shapes out of scrapbooking paper and to adhere it to the image, I used double sided tape. I found that for such small pieces, double-sided tape has the best... sticking power. I used tape for the cross-design as well. Finally, the skulls eyes were made using colored pencils.

I hope you can see these scans.  The scanner I used was pretty much the buttiest of butts.  Anywho, here are my derpings for the past week.

Sketch Pages 457-459

I refined one of the critters that I posted a couple days ago.  His anatomy was pretty wonky.  Well, it's STILL wonky in some places but at least it's intentional now (mostly).  I had so much fun doing clean-up on this guy.

Sketch Pages 444-456

LONG POST IS LONG

A hand-drawn copy of Chris Riddell's work.  I adore his illustrations <3 His artwork is a major inspiration for me and if I ever had a chance to sit down for coffee with him, I would be a very happy Camille.

Happy-mille.  trololol

Starship Troopers is one of my favorite movies.  Starship Troopers 3 on the other hand...  It took itself too seriously.  ST the first was perfectly dumb and it knew it so the movie was derp-tastic and fun.

Y.A.Y.  Jillie-bean drew Uyne for me <3

Drawing is a good way to get a teensy bit of aggression...
